Golfers everywhere respect the opinions of this magazine and turn to them when making a decision about which courses to visit. Here are five of the finest around the country as named by Golf Digest:

Pine Valley Golf Club in Clementon, New Jersey has been named the number one best golf course by Golf Digest on several occasions. The holes at this gorgeous course are considered world class, and for good reason. You'll find the course to be challenging and beautiful, well deserving of its top status. Pine Valley was founded in 1913, and although it is so highly ranked it has never hosted any major tournaments. Then there's the Augusta National Golf Club, which ranks highly on the list on a consistent basis. This is the site of the Masters golf tournament and one of the most elite and prestigious courses found anywhere.
